I am a graduate of Memphis College of Art in Memphis, TN. 1990 was the year I joined the workforce in this great country of ours. Armed with my bachelor degree in fine art and my experience in painting and design, I was surprised to find that photography would be my medium of choice and also a means of income. Portrait photography was a great way to be creative while struggling to earn a living. However, after 8 years, my creative urges turned towards a more 3-D approach. With my camera gear put to the side, I jumped head first into landscape design and project management. It was 2009 on a hot August day that my boss used the "L" word. Yes, "lay-off". The economy had gotten so bad that consumers were not spending on landscape projects, especially custom design. Worried and concerned about my financial situation and the future economy, I began to pray to God for an answer and to relieve me of my worries. Through these prayers, God opened a door for me to paint again. My parents blessed me with a studio space where I can work without interruption and some very close friends helped me with materials. Now i am free to paint and create. These abstract paintings were created from Oct. 2009 to Jan. 2010. They are the first of my painting technique using vivid color to form abstract images with natural organic movement in a rhythmic pattern. I am very grateful to my wife, family and friends for their support. But, most of all I thank God everyday for His Blessings.
ENJOY !!!!
