Crystaline Ceramics by:

Experimentation
With a mad scientist’s enthusiasm, I approach my art. It’s a long drawn out process of trial and error with the results varying from disastrous to amazing and sometimes both.
Temperature
To get the metallic crystals to grow, I have to create a molten glass environment at around 2000 degree F for 14 hours. This temperature over this length of time is really thermal abuse to the ceramic body, with the results that many pieces do not survive.
Chemistry
Only through chemistry, can the fine balance of metal vs. glass create the dance that results in the spectacular crystals framed within a beautiful glaze and form.
